The education scenario has taken a huge shift in the due course of time. From the simple basic education to the trained professional courses it has travelled along way transforming innumerable lives. Education has proved not only to be the stepping stone to success for the individual aspirants but also has proved to be one of the pillars of strength on which the country’s development depends. It is therefore but obvious that education is of prime importance to any country as well as individual if each wants a bright and happy future for themselves respectively. The distance learning in Nigeria and the UK Universities has proved to be the helping hand in the true sense of the term in this aspect.


Nigeria is now in the building stage. It has been torn apart by the various turbulences and upheavals that had long pervaded the air and atmosphere of Nigeria. The struggles in the social, religious and other spheres as well have completely devastated the country of Nigeria, leaving it razed to the ground. However Nigeria proved to be the phoenix, rising from its own ashes this country has gradually begun to reinstate herself, attempting to create a firm foothold in the global scenario. The distance learning in Nigeria and the UK Universities are aiding her to attain her goal.


The problem that the career aspirants of such ripped open countries face is that of the lack of opportunities. It often leads to an ignited youth outburst, the last thing that Nigeria would want now. However the distance learning in Nigeria has come as a savior for both the country as well as the career aspirants. Moreover this option of distance learning in Nigeria has also lifted all the barriers pertaining to that of the geographical location and the financial means of the career aspirant. The option has made the career related studies more feasible and convenient for all and sundry belonging to any and every sphere of the society. Most importantly the distance learning mode of education removes all the age and need related problems as well making this medium a truly universal one.
