Think of it. Each time when you meet a person, what is the first thing do you notice about the person? It’s the face. A great looking face with healthy skin usually considered as one of the biggest favor you do to others.

On the other hand, skin is the body’s first line of protection against infection, germs and diseases. We have to take good care of our skin. Proper skin care is essential for the present and the future.

To clean your skin properly, apply sunscreen before going outside especially in the hot summer, and to many women, they will makeup which needs great protection. Aside from special skin protection program, you have to protect your skin in your daily life.

Beforehand, it’s really necessary to take a look at the skin types, which will help you choose the proper skin care program and maximal the utility.

Healthy skin (also Normal skin)
Healthy skin is clear, pimple free, soft, smooth and without any greasy or flaky areas. The skin is neither dry nor greasy and is considered to be the fine and supple surface. And the skin is supple and resilient, which brings back if you pinch it away from the bones of the face-it’s elastic. The inner health of the skin is shown out which is due to the circulation as well as with outstanding health.

Though your skin is beautiful and healthy, you still have to take special care for your skin to maintain it, otherwise it might lead to wrinkling and aging.

Dry skin
Dry skin usually appears dull with no color, tight, and drawn because there is too little oil production in the skin. People having dry skin have a thin and papery texture. This is because of the pores it has as they are very fine. The appearance of flaky patches is very common in many of them by the midday.

People with dry skin have to particularly choose creamy cleanser and creamy moisturizer to seal the moisture content.

Oily skin
If your skin is shiny and greasy and prone to break out into acne quite often and even comfortable with frequent soap-water washes, then it is sure that you have oily skin. Large pores are the important feature of oily skin.

Oily skin usually has problems such as acne, blackhead, and whiteheads, but simply having blemishes doesn’t mean you have oily skin. Oily skin usually shows up at puberty when the oil level shoots up due to hormonal changes.

The problem with oily skin is that it often gets dehydrated; moisture gets removed from it, with the constant efforts at removing oil. Frequent soap and water washes dehydrate the skin and, with oily skin, you need to work at restoring moisture to the skin.

Combination skin
If you skin is combination, like that of most women, the tissue will have traces of oil coming from your nose and forehead, which is called “T zone”, but will be clean in the areas that touched your cheeks. The oily “T zone” usually has the problem of large pores and more susceptible to blemishes. There are more people have combination skin than any other type. If your chin and nose are oily and the forehead is known to be drier, then it is defined as normal-to-combination skin type.

Always make use of milder cleanser such as deep pore cleanser on the whole face and neck. This helps in keeping the oily T-zone clean and clear.

Sensitive Skin
Sensitive skin is usually very dry, tends to feel tight, and becomes inflamed and irritated easily. Typically, sensitive skin develops reddish and scaly areas, can be itchy and tingly, and is prone to breaking into spots.

The sensitive skin are extremely sensitive to harsh products-soaps, cleansers, and astringents, and more susceptible to breakouts and blemishes.

No we have know something about the five skin types. And we will discuss how to take care of these five different skin types.
