Every year the automakers of USA enter their choice of all the new vehicles and send their car for competition that will decide the utility vehicle of the year and the car of the year. All people are very eager to know about the car of the year and are excited for the announcement. When you search new cars all the cars are tested back to back and driven under similar conditions by the reviewers and secretly marked and are rated in up to 23 different characteristic like the roominess, performance, handling, price etc.

This year the same thing happened and many reviewer and automotive writers tested 51 different models in a number of different classification. These models are not of every new car of 2010 but all the models which have been revised in this year are also included. New small car, big car etc are also included in this competition.

Well no Toyota corolla or Honda civics are there because they are the same version of 2009. Despite of that there were three new version of Mazda3 and many other cheapest new car were also included in the competition.

Two other brand new vehicle tried to enter the competition but they are disqualified because were ineligible. They are the Lexus HS250h, it was disqualified because it was not expensive to qualify for a luxury vehicle and the BMW Z4 was entered as manual transmission car while the demand was of automatic model. Thus both of these cars were disqualified. There were no new car discount available on any of this car in the market..

At the end of the completion of testing the total awarded points were counted and the car with the highest point in each of the category was marked and the winner of the class was declared. There are not such competitions for any of the use cars. Only new cars can get entry in these kinds of competitions. Every year there are such competitions of new car and fresh judging is done to declare the best car of the year. The auto journalist and its staffs are also the part of the testing community in this competition.

Such contest should be organized thus the car buyers can make the best choice and get his favorite car. These competitions are beneficial to both the automakers and the buyers because the automakers can easily market their car and the buyers can have wide selection of the cars and can judge the extraordinary car. Now the contest is also moving further with the best new technology car and the best green technology car.
