The power protection system is collectively named to those devices that are used to generate electricity during the power cuts and surges. This term is nothing new to the society and the whole of the corporate world largely depends upon this power protection system to continue their works during the power cuts and surges.

Power Protection- The Features of the Device

Each of the devices under this section or Uninterruptible Power Supply, UPS have battery backups. It is this battery backup through which the electricity is generated during the power cuts and surges. The strength of the battery may vary according to the devices and hence the final output of power too. The device is connected with the battery at one end and the appliances to be run on the electric current in the other end.

Types of the Power Protection Systems

The devices under the power protection systems are categorized into two types. The Standby Power Protection System is known to be used at home, whereas the Line-Interactive power supply is known to be used in the offices.

Standby Power Supply

This device is connected in parallel to the mains supply. As a result, it takes a while for the device to realize the power cuts and start generating the power from the battery backup. A small gap is formed in between and it leads to the closing down of the attached appliances during this time. The appliances will restart only after turning them ON manually or else by putting them in Auto start mode. This closing down of the appliances during the power cuts make the device unsuitable for the office use.

Line-Interactive power supply

The line-interactive power supply is a device that is used in the offices. The battery of this device is connected to the mains line of the appliances, hence the battery always remain in ON mode. The battery charges while there is current supply and it gets discharged and generate electricity during the power cuts and surges. There is no gap between the current production and cuts, as a result the devices dont get closed when the current gets cut. This feature makes the device useful for the office use globally.

You can now buy both the Standby power supply and Line-Interactive power supply devices through online dealers at heavily discounted prices. These devices are installed to your homes and offices by the servicemen of the dealers.
