Since we know that with the advent of the post modern era of Information and Communication
Technologies (ICT), much advancement has taken place overnight. People and their lifestyles
have dramatically changed from real to virtual world of digital knowledge. The IBM’s first
desktop personal computers that were launched and available in the market for a general user
in 1981; this is the point which is identified with many breakthroughs in the today’s modern
world of ICT.

The Internet, laptops, cellular technology, PDAs, androids and now the wireless technologies
have greatly revolutionalized the world. In the past people would have to go to the telephone
booth to make a call; but now the cellular phone technologies have made it easier by making
the wireless cell phone devices that are handy, elegant and mobile. In past, doing or carrying
out a research in social sciences was too difficult but the advent of Internet, a student or a
researcher can easily visit digital libraries, online research journals, online discussion groups
etc. Apart from that any kind of information can be googled in millionth part of the second
without being going through the long lengthy processes of collecting information as a whole. If
a person from seventeenth century comes to the world again; he would wonder that everything
has changed a lot. However this technological advancement is not restricted to the domain
of knowledge and information only. Rather everything has gone virtual even the sports and
physical activities that were once played in courts and playgrounds can now be played on the
PCs.

A player or a football lover would love to play such games available in market to run on PCs.
However the most eminent name that comes to one’s mind in the football arena of online
or video games is the EA’s FIFA which happens to be a series of association football games.
The graphic user interface of the latest FIFA happens to be very awesome and user friendly.
Moreover the color schemes gradient is so enthralling that while playing online football games,
the user or the player of the game experiences sensations of being actually playing the world
cup for football in a football ground.
Like every other thing that have gone digital and virtual; the buying and selling, the information
accessibility, the education, the knowledge inventory, the entertainment; the sports like football
have also shifted from playgrounds to the PDAs and handheld devices.
