Its Monday already but you still feel the weekend hangover and you dont want to work right now. Suddenly, you decided to stay and just wait for the day to end. This is a common scene on offices and other work places. This is a disease which many of us are experiencing and it is called the lousy day syndrome. W e all had terrible or bad day, disappointing news from a friend, an argument with your boss, a bad evaluation of work, a lousy day may come into various forms.
Some people think that a lousy day should be spent without doing anything which is wrong. According to people in nursing uniform, if you keep on spoiling your lousiness at work, you are putting your career into danger and becoming less productive. So, here are some tips that will help you cope up with the lousy day syndrome.
1. Do not spoil yourself. Sometimes when troubles bombard us we often want to go outside and treat ourselves. While it is true that pleasure can make you forget problems, however, it doesnt last. In fact, after doing it, youll feel worse because you gave more time to something that made you further dwell on your troubles. Hence, if youre feeling lousy just because something not good happened, go on with your work because you are paid to work for it and then after dealing with your work, youll have enough time to think of the problems or troubles you have on yourself. You can think better. And always maintain a positive attitude.
2. Be a Good Samaritan for a day. There is an old saying, do good and you will feel good this is absolutely true. Youll feel better if youre going to do good deeds and do it for selfless reasons.
3. Find some distractions. If you feel unhappy and not in the mood to work, watch some funny videos or read some jokes to lighten up your day.
4. Seek inner peace. Yes, it is true, youll find peace in this messy world. Thus, even your troubles is eating you up, you can find inner peace, how? Everywhere. You can soothe yourself and feel better by fixing a messy work desk or crowded countertops. The essence of orderliness can bring you comfort.
5. Do not isolate yourself. Isolation can further put you in a deep rotten condition. So, try to speak to anyone whom you trust or the closest friend you have in your office. Who knows that person might help you with your problems.
6. Be thankful. After all the bad or terrible things happened to you in that day, you should still be thankful because at least you are still in the lousy spectrum, some people right now are probably experiencing worse things than you have.
