NYC luxury rentals such as Upper East Side rentals and those on 5th avenue have long been known for their prestige and luxury. Those living in rentals like the Corinthian and other architecturally unique buildings knew that they were living in some of the best residences in the city, replete with services, features and vistas that were unmatched in any other rental suite. Unfortunately, the price of NYC luxury rentals were unmatched as well, leaving them the province of only the wealthiest of NYC socialites and businessmen, and meaning that many lovers of New York, of her charm and history, would never have the chance to climb these luxurious towers and stake their claim to some of the best residence in the city. Now, however, a great many NYC luxury rentals have become more affordable.
In part, this has been due to the recent housing crisis. As the price of property plummeted, many renters chose to move to smaller locations or to hold up in purchased property that they knew would not lose value. The ever popular NYC luxury rental market found itself somewhat starved for interest as consumers chose to tighten their belts and look at living over luxury. In response, the price of many NYC luxury apartments has become more reasonable in order to attract back those who may have had to leave or could not manage to stay.
In addition, the price of other apartments in the city has risen as the housing crisis became full blown and then receded. While the economy is settling, these prices are not lowering and costs of moving to upper east side rentals suddenly do not seem to exorbitant, suddenly seem as though they are within reach for those who had never previously considered them.
NYC luxury rentals like the Corinthian and other buildings along 5th Avenue represent a piece of New York history and some of the most stunning property in the city. Now, becoming a member of the exclusive club of NYC luxury rentals has gotten just a little bit easier.
