Nowadays, we have lots of ways to obtain information-both useful and useless information, which depends on factors-through newspapers, magazines, books, television, radio, internet, and now telephone. If you don’t deal with it, you will be overwhelmed with information.

I like reading. I read many books while I was in college. I excerpted sentences from those books I read (they were borrowed from the library). But the question was I never read that excerption again. I read newspapers but they seem useless and a waste of time.

I found I took too much time and energy to take in a whole lot of information of all different kinds, most of which may be useless and meaningless to me. No even make me relax. On the other hand, those information can influence your thoughts and beliefs. Then I think I should adjust the way that information inputting into my brain.

Here we will talk about why we need to pay more attention to the information intake, and do some adjusting to it.

There are some news in the newspapers will frighten people. That news can allow us to know more about our country and people live here. But sometimes it seems to make people think that it is really not easy to live in the world and live with fear. But it is really not a good thing to spend a week in a sort of environment filled with fear, which will make people be more fearful of things in their life and things that might happen but will never really come into reality. But those emotions do influence people’s life and make them nervous.

On the other hand, there will be many positive and negative things on internet, such as some online forums. You can find many stories that are positive, but you cannot prevent people to post negative comments on to it.

After absorbing information, you should change your way of processing them. To become a person you want to be and get what you want out of life you have to consciously cultivate your ability that choose the useful information and put your focus on the right things. Keep steeping in the emotion of negatives and fears will divert your attention from things you really need to know and need to do.

For example, if you read are working for your personal growth, such as reading some books of personal development and practice those tips, then go on to absorb information will arouse the negative emotions. Let’s make it much clearer. How do you think of the way of losing weight by going out for running but after that you eat a whole big cake? They are the same story.

Think of it. You’ve read many articles and books. These books provide much useful advice for you. Will you think of it over and over, or will you just put it aside and add the name into your list (which shows that you have read that book)? There’s a situation that if you keep reading and only reading without reviewing the things that you really get from what you read will lead to a sort of avoidance of what’s really important for you, like taking action, failing in experiencing the failure and success, and cannot learn from them.

An overload of information of any kind, ignorance of negative or positive information, can have negative effects. It can split your focus and make you confused, which will make you think too much or procrastinate.

Sometimes if you think you want to watch TV and relax, just go ahead. But don’t spend too much on it. There are many other interesting things you can do will relax you and regain power and energy. For example, go out for a run, or spend more time with your family.

Well. That depends on you.
